Hello people, and welcome back to our usual round-up of development-related links!
I cannot lie, this is a moment we’ve all been waiting for. Initial and partial support for meta boxes will be added to version 1.5 of the Gutenberg editor. Is this a step forward? Yes. Does the chosen approach raise questions and doubts? Yes, too.
There are fundamental differences between drop shadows you can have in graphic files, and the box shadows you apply through CSS. This article explains how to handle them, and how to solve some common issues about this effect.
I am a fan of carefully crafted and styled code. Code must be functional, of course, but it also has got to be readable by other humans, and that’s where linters come into play.
